Son of George Washington Reed and Philinda Beggs Nott Reed/Parsons.

The date of birth is uncertain: the headstone has 1871, but the obituary uses October 23, 1869. Will use the headstone year/date of 1871 but with caution. Not sure how to resolve this discrepancy since Iowa did not have birth records recorded until 1880 and beyond.

Husband of Grace Edna Davis Reed.

Note: a previous Evergreen cemetery transcription used April 30, 1951 for the DOD. The obituary was published on April 28, 1951 and provides that the death took place on that day. The burial, not the death, took place on April 30, 1931.
