Elizabeth was born in Hanover Township, Washington, Pennsylvania the daughter of George Blazer and Elizabeth Smith and died in Townsend Township. She was the mother of Nathaniel John, George Isaac, Stillborn Twin Boy, Stillborn Twin Girl, William Welch, John, Jacob, Stillborn Twin Girl, Stillborn Twin Girl, Isaac, and Benjamin. She was originally Quaker. She was a very devout Methodist and attended the Collins Methodist Church. She showed many kindnesses to a native American and he repaid her kindness by warning the family of a upcoming massacre planned after the American defeat in Detroit against British troops in the War of 1812. They escaped back to Pennsylvania and returned in 1816 where she gave birth to the first white children in Huron County.
