Martha was a graduate of Hollis High School Class of 1899. She attended the Cushing Academy and graduated in 1902. She was a Secretary/Treasure of the Hollis High School Alumni Association from 1915 - 1923 and was also a member of the Hollis Congregational Church, the Hollis Women's Club and the Hollis Grange.
