Professional Hockey Player. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, played the position of Defense for the New York Rangers from 1942 to 1943. During World Ware II he died on November 25, 1944, at the age of 20 at sea near Newfoundland, while on an escort run. In 1949 the Dudley 'Red' Garrett Memorial Trophy was established in his memory.
