Charity Brower, 92, of Homedale, formerly of New Plymouth, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006 at a Homedale care center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Private interment will be at Parkview Cemetery, New Plymouth. Charity was born Aug. 14, 1913 in Douglas County, Mo. to James and Sarrah Tomlin Johnson. She was raised in Douglas County, Mo. and educated at Big Springs, Mo. She married John W. Brower on Dec. 7, 1932 at West Plains, Mo. The family moved to Idaho in 1933 and she resided in the New Plymouth area from 1944 to 2002 when they moved to Owyhee Health and Rehab in Homedale. She was an avid homemaker enjoying cooking and making quilts. She is survived by her son Larry and daughter-in-law, Evelyn Brower of Greenleaf; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John in 2003, her parents, and brothers, Dave, George, Julian, and Keith, and a sister, Flora. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
