OBITUARY
John Franklin Porter was born October 13, 1861(sic) at Weatherford, Texas; was married to Miss Margaret Green July 5, 1890.(sic) To this union were born eight children.
Mr. Porter had been in bad health for several years. He had been in a hospital for the past 14 years.
He departed this life June 6, 1953, at the age of 92 years, nine months and six days. He leaves to mourn(sic) his passing seven children: four boys and three girls. One child preceded him in death. The children are: Albert Porter, Montain Park; Rupert Porter, Lawton, Okla.; Alva Porter, Elk City; Georgia Porter, Pixley, California; Sarah Alcorn and Stella Payne, Pixley, California; Lee Music, Elk City. He also leaves 27 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
