Mrs. J. D. Kerchenfaut died Sunday night and was buried in the Wagoner cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Francis of Arrowsmith conducting the services. The circumstances of her untimely death are particularly distressing. About 3 weeks ago she became a mother and has since been suffering from insanity which is hereditary in the family. She was recovering from this when she was prostrated by the news of her sister-in-law's Mrs. William Kerchenfaut, death and the shock of this proved fatal.
America Hathaway Kerchenfaut was born on a farm southeast of Gibson January 1, 1875, and was not quite 23 years old at the time of her death.
She was married to James D. Kerchenfaut on November 28, 1894, in Champaign County Illinois. Her husband and infant child survive her and have the sympathy of the whole community in their sad bereavement.
