WEATHERFORD - Willie Darcus Reeder McLin left us on Monday, Oct. 12, 1998, at the age of 93 years and 1 day.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Couts Memorial United Methodist Church, 802 N. Elm, in Weatherford. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday in the Clinton Cemetery in Clinton, Okla.

Willie Darcus (Reeder) McLin was born in Indian Territory (now Oklahoma) on Oct. 11, 1905, south of Foss, on land filed upon by her parents, E.F. and Lovie Jane Reeder. She was living in Weatherford, sharing a home with her daughter and son-in-law. She had lived in Arlington for 21 years. She was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.

Willie was proud of being senior class president, yearbook editor and a guard on the Foss basketball team. Later she was a member of the Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge. Her husband of 54 years, Thomas W. McLin, preceded her in death Sept. 21, 1987, in Arlington. She was most proud of her family and devoted her life to the Lord and to her family. She had been a lifetime member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors: Her daughter and son-in-law, John H. and Dr. Mary Jane Dykes; granddaughter and her husband, Lora and Gerry Biddy of Abilene; grandson and his wife, John L. and Debra J. Dykes of Weatherford; great-grandchildren, Jon, Christi and Sherry Biddy of Abilene and Amy and Lori Dykes of Weatherford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
