Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 1 at 1 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Revs. Eugene Striblin and Thomas Boykin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Poore is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Poore of Five Points; two sons, Bryan Rape of Roanoke, Ala., and Gary Rape of Alex City, Ala.; three step-children, Amber Poore, Brent Sheppard and Miles Sheppard, all of Five Points; three sisters, Mary Anne (Herbert) DeLee of Five Points, Jackie (Jeff) Smallwood of Roanoke and Patricia (Tyler) Knowles of Lanett; her brother, Charles (Connie) Kelley of Valley; her father, Jack Abernathy of LaFayette; and two grandchildren.
Born March 27, 1954 in Chambers County, Mrs. Poore was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Eunice Mae Abernathy.
