William "Bill" Seigenfuse, 83, of Middleport, passed away suddenly Tuesday evening at his residence.

Born in Middleport, Sept. 7, 1928, he was a son of the late Clayton and Pauline Kilousky Seigenfuse.

A graduate of the former Blythe Township High School, New Philadelphia, he was a member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, New Philadelphia.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force.

Until his retirement, he worked for 31 years as a welder for Dana Corporation Parish Div., Reading. Bill served on the board of directors of the Schuylkill Valley Sewer Authority. He was a life member and past president of the Citizens Fire Company, Middleport.

Bill was a great gardener and spent many hours in his yard. He loved vacations at the beach, going out to eat and Dunkin'. Above all, Bill was dedicated to his family and his happiest times were spent with them. He has seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary E. "Sis" Dalton Seigenfuse; and a brother, Joseph Seigenfuse, Las Vegas.

He will be extremely missed by his family, which includes his daughter, Lesa, wife of Dennis Ebling, Mechanicsville; two sons, Billy Seigenfuse, Middleport, and David Seigenfuse, husband of Darlene, Lake Wynonah; grandchildren, Ed, Mike and Holly Ebling, Matthew and Nicholas Seigenfuse, Diana Fisher and Tracy Seigenfuse; great-grandchildren include Lillianna; three sisters, Dorothy Yenelavage, Bernville, Lori Hill, Middleport, and Evelyn Jean Wallace, Minersville; and a brother, Robert, Orwigsburg; nieces and nephews.

Military services and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Essig as celebrant. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at the convenience of the family.

Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, has charge of arrangements.
