Ruth May Hubbard, 74 of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 7:15 p.m. She was born on January 20, 1937 in St. Marys, OH to the late Howard and Ruth Boroff Thomas. She married Elmer Hubbard on January 6, 1956 in Lafayette, and he precedes her in death. She worked as a nurse's aid, and in Central Scheduling at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her cats and dogs.
Surviving are two daughters; Rebecca R (husband: Bob) Zeck of Lafayette, Karen S. (husband: Scott) Eisert of West Lafayette, and two sons; Thomas E. (wife: Ann) Hubbard of Peru, IN and Timothy W. Hubbard of Los Angeles, CA. Also surviving is one brother; Dale (wife: Mary Ann) Thomas of Wapakoneta, OH, seven grandchildren; Chris Zeck, Adam J. Blankenship, Tina Zeck, Stacy Peterson, Candice Goss, Brent Hubbard, and Emilie Hubbard, and four great-grandchildren; Taylor Blankenship, Tye Blankenship, Aiden Zeck, and Isabella Goss.
She is preceded in death by five brothers; John Thomas, Ross Thomas, Doyt Thomas, Glen Thomas, and Carl Thomas, one sister, Edith Harner, and one great-granddaughter, Dinah Zeck.
Services will be on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at Simplicity Funeral Care (1608 Schuyler Ave., Lafayette, IN 47904) with Rev.
