Bio

My name is Susan and I have been researching my family history off and on for twenty years. I live in Southern California, 50 C@L G3N!3 (SO CAL GENIE). I may not know where their final resting places are but I believe they should be acknowledged and remembered as well because they did live a life.

If you have any corrections to add, please let me know. I want to try to get the memorials as accurate as possible. Any photos would also be great. If you would like any memorials transferred to you (that are not my direct ancestors), I will be happy to do it. If I accidentally make a memorial that has already been created, PLEASE let me know, I will delete my duplicate memorial as soon as possible.

Many of the photos I've added to memorials are from the Minster Post newspaper from Auglaize County, Ohio. It is a free site:
www.minsterhistoricalsociety.com

I also have my mom's high school year books of 1953-1954-1955, my Dad's year books of 1948 and 1949 and my uncle's from 1950-1951-1952. I also have grade school photos from my Mom's scrapbook from Holy Rosary Catholic School in St. Marys, Oh., ca. 1940s.

I love to add photos to memorials but if I add a photo to a memorial that you do not want posted, PLEASE let me know and I will remove the photo as soon as possible.

My research is mainly in Ohio...Auglaize, Mercer, Hardin, Paulding, Licking, and Ross counties, and various other neighboring counties.

****Please ask permission if you want to use any of the photos of my family. I would appreciate it. Thank you.****

As we find the puzzle pieces, as every twig and root make our branch and every branch makes our tree.

"Dear Ancestor,
Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date have worn off
The weathered marble stone.

It reaches out to all who care
It's now to late to mourn
You did not know that I'd exist
You died...and I was born.

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone
Our hearts contrast and beat a pulse
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
So many years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.

I wonder how you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come and visit you."
