BOSSIER CITY, LA. - Services for Mrs. Minnie L. Lewis, 91, of Bossier City, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday August 17 at the First United Pentecostal Church in Montgomery, La., where she was a member. The Rev. Jerry Miller, pastor of the church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Joe Cleveland, pastor of Southern Methodist Church in Haughton, La. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery in Montgomery.
Mrs. Lewis died Monday August 15, 1988 at Pilgrim Manor North Nur[s]ing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born in Atlanta, La.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Lewis, and two sons, Estes Lewis and T. A. Lewis.
She is survived by three sons, J. O. Lewis of Winnfield, La., Otha Lewis of Steilacoom, Wash. and Lawrence L. Lewis of Haughton, La.; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Pursley of Haughton; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Joe Crew, L. L. Lewis, Jr., Bill Steadman, Carroll Shelton, Marvin Davis and Willie A. Lewis.
