Mrs. J. A. Johnson, 51, died at her home near Winnfield Saturday evening, after an illness of several months. Funeral services were held at the Mt. Zion Church near Montgomery, La., Monday afternoon by Mrs. Lula Wardlow and interment was made in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband; one son, J. V. Johnson, who is serving in the U.S. Army; four sisters, Mrs. Jeff Lewis, Ms. Allen Lewis, Mrs. Rufus Shelton, and Mrs. Inez Stewart; two brothers, Johnnie Davis and Alvin Davis; and her mother, Mrs. Nettie Davis.
