ADAMS, WILMA ELIZABETH DULANEY "COOKIE" of Bessemer, AL, went to be with our Lord December 10, 2011. She was a life long member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies Elk's Auxiliary, and a volunteer at the Bessemer Public Library. When she greeted you, she said, "Hello Friend". Indeed, she was a friend, to many. She provided a safe haven for many, and a soft place to fall. She was a cheerleader at Bessemer High School and Miss Merry Christmas. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wester DuLaney and Gertrude Elizabeth DuLaney, and her brother, Francis Joseph Robinson, III. She is survived by her children, Carol Vincent-Bass, Delores Moran Webb, Denise Anderson Foster, Kenneth Robert Adams, and Darlene Joslyn Cunningham; twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and her nephew, James Wester Robinson of New Orleans, LA. Funeral services will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens. Father Patrick Cullen will be officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home. It was an honor to know and love her, and to be called her child, grandchild, great grandchild, aunt and friend. May her memory be eternal.
