Mr. William Gordon (Billy) Alexander, age 77, of Summerville, GA, passed away Wednesday December 7, 2011, in Chatsworth Health Care Center.
Mr. Alexander was born June 22, 1934, the son of the late Ed Roland and Dora Jean Willingham Alexander. Mr. Alexander was a self-employed paint contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Goodridge Alexander, children, David Alexander, John Alexander, Glen Alexander, Kelli Bruce, and Donna Brown, sister, Delle Trammell, grandchildren, Kensey Alexander, Erica Alexander, Jessica Alexander, Tiffaney Alexander, John Alexander, Jr., Victoria Bruce, Dylan Bruce, Josh Alexander, Heather Alexander, Zachary Alexander, Kelsey Alexander.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday December 10, 2011 from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Wright officiating with interment in the Alexander Cemetery. Active pallbearers, Tony Johnson, Brian Ferrell, Jimmy Watson, Jeff Bruce, Paul Smith, Jessie Hickey.
Mr. Alexander will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
