Andrew L. Dunn Died Last Thursday
Andrew Lindsay Dunn, a resident of Waseca county for nearly 70 years, passed away at his home, 312 Second Ave. S. E., last Thursday evening at about 7:10. He had been in ill health for the past year, suffering with hardening of the arteries and other complications.
The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the home, with Rev. Merodach Green, pastor, of the Congregational church, officiating. Interment was made in Woodville cemetery. The pall bearers were: John Taft, W. D. Coates, James Conway, Andrew Johnson, Henry Blaeser and John Johnson.
Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Richardson and son, Charles and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schroeder and son, Robert, of Elgin; Mrs. Woodruff and Mrs. John Siens, of Chatfield; Miss Helen Woodruff, of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Clow, of Rochester; Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Welch of West Concord; Mr. and Mrs. Lyman B. Warren and Miss Ada Warren of Owatonna.
Andrew Lindsey Dunn was born in Cattaraugus county, New York on October 15, 1853. His parents came west as far as Illinois when he was a small child and from there to Waseca county when he was nine years old. His marriage to Miss Caroline Renz took place in this city on March 3, 1883. They lived on a farm in Woodville township until about 35 years ago when they came to this city and have since made their home here.
Mr. Dunn was a member of the Congregational church. He had a kindly manner and personality which made him a friend of all who knew him. Besides his widow he is survived by one son, James R. Dunn, of this city.
