"Miss" Ruby was a devoted mother and grandmother. She lived a model Christian life and spread her love to all of those around her. She found beauty in everything. Even in her garden, weeds became wildflowers under her loving care. She said that when she was surrounded by things she loved, she was surrounded by beauty, and that's how she will always be remembered: beautiful. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Barger was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher for 62 years, including over 30 years of perfect attendance at the Hartwell Healthcare Center Sunday School Class. Peek, of Atlanta, Daisy B. Vickery, of Hartwell, and Virginia B. Majeski, of Hartwell; grandchildren, Shane Barger, Steffanie Barger, Brandi Barger, Tina Brown, Shanna Parrington, Leah Barger, Jonathan Smith, and Jasmine Dockery; and eight great-grandchildren.
