June Harrison Leake, 85, widow of Frank S. Leake Jr., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 11, 2011. Mrs. Leake was born January 15, 1926, in Greenville County, to the late James Robert Harrison and Marguerite Austin Harrison. She was a graduate of Draughn's Business School and a member of Unity Baptist Church, where she served many years as a Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (Oliver Thompson Chapter in Fountain Inn), and served as the organization's National General President from 1990-1992. She was a recipient of the Order of The Palmetto, given by Governor Carroll A. Campbell Jr. Surviving are a son, Mike Leake and wife Carol; a daughter, Rita Leake; a sister, Sara Anne Collins; four grandchildren, Sam Leake and wife Jessica, Mitch Leake, Alle Maser and Ryan Maser; and a great-grandson, Anson Patrick Leake. She was predeceased by a brother, Bob Harrison; and two sisters, Lillian Mahon and Miriam Murff.
