The Tattnall Journal March 5, 1970

Leland E. Dasher,54,died at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah Thursday after a long illness.
He was a native of Tattnall County and a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. DeAlva Love Dasher of Glennville, and daughter, Mrs. Leslie C. Towns III, of Atlanta; a son, Edward Dasher of Glennville; three sister, Mrs. Emory Jenkins of Savannah, Mrs. H.C. Causey of Glennville, and Mrs. Ray Durrence of Claxton; six brothers, Carl O, Earl D, Charlie D, Harold D, and Pender Dasher, all of Glennville, and Bud Dasher of Cattlesburg, Ky, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder W.H. Durrence and Elder J.W. Durrence. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were nephews, Gene Love, R.L. Dasher, R.L. Love, Wayne Durrence, Jerry Dasher, and Gene Dasher.
Rimes Mortuary of Glennville was in charge.
