She moved with her family from Mississippi to Lodi (near Red Oak) Indian Territory around 1899. She moved to Pushmataha Co. shortly afterwards. She married Mr. Fox in 1914 and Sam Bennett in 1965. Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Clarabelle and Jim Hill of McAlester, and Ruth and John Calliham, Vallejo, CA; a son and daughter in law, W. H. "Buck" and Joyce Fox of Clayton; a son in law, B. R. Dobson of McAlester; two step-daughters, Grace Morris of Antlers and Julia Sumpter, Mesa, AZ.
