Services for Ivey S. Slack, 90, of Plainview, (formerly of White River Lake) were at 11 a.m., September 29, 1995 in the White River Lake Chapel. Rev. Jerry Graham, Lubbock, officiated. Burial was in Red Mud Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Slack died September 27 at 9:50 a.m. in the Prairie House Living Center, Plainview. Death was ruled due to natural causes.
She was born March 15, 1905 in Clay County, Texas, and had lived in the White River community since 1911. She moved to Wolfforth in 1992 and to Plainview in 1994.
She married Henry C. Slack, January 2, 1927. He preceded her in death in 1975.
Mrs. Slack taught school at Kalgary from 1941 until 1947. She was also a gatekeeper for White River Municipal Water District for several years.
She is survived by one son, Bobby Slack, Plainview; two grandsons, Mike and Mark Slack, both of Plainview and two great grandchildren, Brent and Darin Slack, also of Plainview.
Pallbearers were John Holbrooks, Maynard Brown, Winston Fitzgerald, Glinn Jones, Harvey Cannon and Loyd Rinehart.
