R.M. Slack, 69, died at his home 14 miles southwest of Spur, Saturday morning. He was born in the state of Iowa. In the early days, the family moved to Texas and located in Henrietta. In 1913, he with his wife and children moved to Crosby County and established their present home. Services were held in the Henrietta Baptist Church. Interment was in the family plot in the Henrietta Cemetery. Survived by his wife; two sons; six daughters.
