Laura, age 88, died at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa. She was the daughter of Charles S. and Nellie M. (Rosencrans) Carlton. She graduated from Edna High School and taught school in the rural Edna area for several years. She married V.O. Long in 1924. Survivors include her children, Buford Long, Charles Long, William Long, Wallace Long, Betty Hillemeer, and Mary Jacobs, her half-brother, Carter Carlton, 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Services were held at First Baptist Church of Edna. Burial was in North Edna Cemetery.
