Doris Marie Missing, 75, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, at the Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge, Nebraska.
She was born on Dec. 10, 1935, at Hastings, Nebraska to Curtis and Nellie (Hasemeyer) Heath.
She attended school at Holdrege High School and graduated with the class of 1954.
She married Duane Eugene Missing, Sept. 17, 1961, at Arapahoe, Nebraska. He preceded her in death Nov. 21, 1987 in a farming accident. They made their home in Arapahoe where they farmed and ranched.
She married Gerald Disney in 1988. They were later separated and Doris took back the Missing surname.
She worked as a clerk at Skags Market in Holdrege, NE, a clerk for Wagner's Variety Store, a lab tech at the Arapahoe Medical Clinic, and worked at Walmart in McCook.
Survivors include her son, Jeff and wife, Marla Missing of Redwood City, CA; brother, Don and wife, Phyllis Heath of Hastings, NE; brother-in-law, Victor Breinig of Arapahoe, NE; two grandchildren, Samantha & Daniel Missing; special friend, Gerald Disney of Arapahoe, NE; and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Duane; brothers, Richard and Ivan Heath; and sisters, A. June Breinig and Betty Heath.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 at the Arapahoe Christian Church with the Rev. Dave Welch officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Arapahoe Cemetery.
