Richard Raymond Heath, 83, of Shell Rock, Iowa, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Shell Rock Health Care, Shell Rock, Iowa.
He was born April 1, 1927, in Hastings, Nebraska, the son of Curtis Raymond and Nellie Viola (Hasemeyer) Heath.
He attended Hastings High School.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He married Charlotte Hagel on Nov. 14, 1948, in Hastings, Nebraska. She preceded him in death.
He was employed by Kansas-Nebraska Gas Co., Hastings, installing pump lines across the Northeast. He also worked at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for several years, and had worked in janitorial and as a gas station attendant.
He was a member of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene, Waverly, Iowa.
Survivors include a daughter, Wendy (Mike) Noyes of Waterloo, Iowa; a granddaughter; a brother, Don (Phyllis) Heath of Hastings, NE; a sister, Doris Missing of Arapahoe, NE; and a brother-in-law, Ray Hooper of Mena, AR.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Murphy and June Hooper; and a brother, Ivan.
Services will be Saturday at Living Water Church of the Nazarene, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls, IA.
Serenity Funeral & Cremation Society, Waterloo, Iowa, assisted the family.
