H. Collingwood Dies At 70 In Franklin

Hary Earl Collingwood Sr., 70, of 410 Eleventh St., retired Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co. employe, died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday in Franklin Hospital where he had been a patient since June 21. The son of Henry C. and Minnie Collingwood, he was born in Springville, November 18, 1898. He had spent the greater part of his life in the Bullion area, coming to Franklin in 1954.

Mr. Collingwood had worked in the oil fields in the Bullion district prior to his employment at the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co. as a mechanic from 1942 until his retirement in 1953. He attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

He and the former Myrtle Grace Wagner were married October 5, 1921. She survives along with two daughters, Mrs. Russell E. (Harriet) Hart and Mrs. Howard W. (Pauline) Hazlett of Franklin; three sons, Harry Earl Collingwood Jr. of Albemarle, N.C., Henry David Collingwood of Polk and Barry L. Collingwood of Franklin; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a half-brother, George Ford of Sacramento, Calif., and two half-sisters, Mrs. Bertha Cullighon and Mrs. Erma Rash of Struthers, Ohio.

Friends will be received any time in the Huff Chapel at Franklin.....and where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday. Rev. Howard Witherow, pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Rockland Cemetery.
