Tremon "Mac" Tennison, 83, of Continental died 11:30 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

He was born April 28, 1928, in New Site, Miss., to the late John and Ola (Belue) Tennison. On November 26, 1949, he married Archie L. Curtiss and she died April 17, 2010.

He is survived by two children, Michael Tennison and Becky Tennison both of Continental; a sister, Juanita Loveless of Carlinville, Ill. and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Verlon Sanders, Esther Phifer, and Irma Chase and three brothers, Herman, J.C., and Doug Tennison.

Mac was a retired laborer for Johns Manville, Defiance. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W. II and was a member of Continental American Legion and a life member of Ottawa VFW. He attended Christ United Methodist Church in Continental.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental, with Pastor Charles Eagle officiating. There will be a military service following the funeral at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
