Ephraim married Sarah Elizabeth Jones (1849-1926) on 24 Jun 1863 in presumably Indiana. Ephraim and Sarah were the parents of ten children, the names of whom eight are known, namely:

2. Lewis Alonzo Arbuckle (1869-1929)
3. Lillie H. Arbuckle Spear (1872-1957)
4. Carrie M. Arbuckle (1874-1935)
5. Mamie Emma Arbuckle King (1877-1937)
6. Henry Marcelles Arbuckle (1883-1948)
7. Mary Frynie Rbuckle Dipple Fields (1883-1948)
8. Bessie F. Arbuckle Davis (1887-1961)
It is assumed that the missing two children died young.

Ephraim Arbuckle, 78, died at his home in Westport last night after a lingering illness of arterial cerosis.
He was one of Westport's popular aged residents and he leaves a large circle of friends in that vicinity. He is survived by the widow, two sons, Lon of Louisville and Harry, of near Shelbyville, and six daughters, Mrs. Spear, Mrs. Henry King and Mrs. Dipple of Shelbyville, Miss Carrie Arbuckle of Indianapolis, Mrs. William Deniston of Sardinia and Mrs. F. M. Davis of Westport.
Funeral services will be held in the Westport Baptist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. C. B. Jones officiating.
