Unfortunately, for Samuel's descendants his parentage has not been proven yet. Burial information is from "History of Jackson TWP, Sullivan County, Indiana."


Please check sources, the Richard Laine Symons and his wife, Alice Ann Vinson absolutely, ARE NOT, Samuel's parents. If you copied their names from an online tree, that information was "assumed" and not thoroughly researched! There is no evidence that shows Richard and Alice ever left England so they could "NOT" have had a child in Tennessee!


Samuel's last name is Simons, not Simmons, not even pronounced the same, it's like Simon + s or S-eye-mons, with a long i. This is definitely not War of 1812 Patriot, Samuel B. Simmons who served in the Mississippi Militia and actually lived in Mississippi, so please, no more requests to change his status to veteran.
