Kevin Kent VanWinkle was born on May 3, 1960, in Genoa, to George and Neola (Carter) VanWinkle. He passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at his home in Plattsmouth having obtained the age of 51 years.
Kevin lived in the Ogallala area for many years and worked as an Equipment Operator for the Keith County Department of Roads.
He is survived by his brothers and sister, Clinton (Sandra) VanWinkle, of Beatrice, Lee (Pam) VanWinkle, of Silver Creek, Scott (Kristine) VanWinkle, of Chapel, Neal (Kyle) VanWinkle, of Plattsmouth, Lyndon (Barb) VanWinkle, of Silver Creek, De Lois (Mark) Urkoski, of Columbus, Duane VanWinkle, of Altadena, Calif; step-daughter, Kayla Bloom; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family Memorial service will be held on Saturday at the United Methodist Church, in Silver Creek, with Rev. Murray Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Creek Cemetery.
