Albert Witte one of the oldest settlers of this area met his death in an accident at his home on Thursday morning. He fell from a chair and was found dead on the floor by a resident in the same building. He was 79 years of age, born in Germany and came to America in his younger years. He served in the Union Army in the Civil War. He was a brother-in-law of C. A. Bauer of Plymouth. The burial is Saturday in the new local cemetery.
