Born in Wirt County she was the daughter of Herbert and Eltha Morehead Rader. She was a member of the North Parkersburg Baptist Church.
survivors include two daughters, Marguerite McCutcheon of Marietta, O., and Mary Katherine Cheuvront of Ravenswood; one step brother, Douglas Morehead of Hanover, Pa.; fou grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy P. Dowler, in 1968 and one brother.
