Born in Orange, Texas to R. W. and Mattie Anderson, he had lived in Lufkin for the past 30 years where he was a resident of Lufkin State School.
He was survived by his sister, Ruth Anderson Scales and husband Harold; two brothers, Donald Lee Anderson and wife Mary and Ronald Wynne Anderson and wife Wilma.
Funeral services held at the Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City, Dr. David Harbour, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Orangefield, officiating. Burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
