Adrian Ellis

An electrician and a volunteer firefighter for the city of Crosbyton. He died in Fort Worth, TX after living for many years next door to his daughter, Shirley Sitz.

Adrian's biological parents died from tuberculosis in 1917 & 1918. Adrian was adopted by an Ellis family.

CROSBYTON — Graveside services for Adrian Ellis, 93, of Fort Worth, formerly of Crosbyton, will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Les Griffin officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

He died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002.

He was born Aug. 13, 1908, in Santo and married Odell Hobbs on Sept. 17, 1937, in Crosbyton. She died March 17, 1986. He was a member of Crosbyton First Baptist Church and was a 50-year Mason and a member of the Blue Lodge. He was an electrician, and while working for the Crosbyton power plant, he wired most of the street lights in Crosbyton.

A son, Leonard Lee, died March 2, 1995.

Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Ann Sitz and Geneva Groom, both of Fort Worth, and Carol Sue DuBose of Andrews; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
