Reinhardt "Reiny" Frederick Stuhr, age 97, of Waco, NE, died Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Seward, NE. He was born December 13, 1913 at Waco to Henry and Caroline (Schlechte) Stuhr.
Reiny was a lifelong resident of York County. He and Ella made their home and farmed near Waco until he retired at age 65. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Waco, enjoyed building things, farming the soil, and spending time with his family. Reiny was previously a member and officer of the Federal Land Bank, Waco School Board, Waco Elevator Board, and was an elder at Peace Lutheran Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, siblings and their spouses: Elizabeth and Cletis Roth, Louis and Minnie Stuhr, Albert and Nora Stuhr, John and Edna Stuhr, Caroline and Arlin Haggerman, Dora and Curtis Bristol, Evelyn and Rupert Bristol, two infant siblings, sister-in-law Esther Wellman and daughter-in-law Linda Groshans Stuhr.
Services were held December 5, 2011 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Waco. Burial followed in the Waco Cemetery.
