Sherman E. Ross, 85, of Colorado City died Wednesday, January 31, 1990 at Mitchell County Hospital.
Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wayne Oglesby officiating. Burial was in Colorado City Cemetery.
Born in Prescott, Arkansas he was a retired truck driver and farmer. He was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Ross of Colorado City; two daughters, Linda Hale of Flower Mound and Charlene Davis of Louisville, Kentucky; three sons, Willie Ross of Paris, Texas, Hank Ross of East Winten, New Jersey; and Jim Ross of Fritch, Texas; six sisters, Mildred Martin of Colorado City, Zelma Crenshaw of Blossom, Texas, Myrtle Melton of Friona, Texas, and Adele Smith and Vinnie Rushing, both of Clarksville; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
