FAY MOORE MADDOX:

Mr. Fay Moore Maddox, 87, of Mokane, died December 20, 1994, at his home. He was born September 30, 1907, in Callaway County, the son of Elburn and Maggie Keely Maddox. He married Winnie E. Harvey in 1928 and she preceded him in death in 1956. He then married Louise Bartley in 1958 and she died in 1975.

He is survived by six children, Burnell H. "Jack" Maddox of New Bloomfield, Ruth Edwards, Elton E. "Cork" Maddox, Treva Vandeloecht, Betty Nichols and Juanita Bura, all of Fulton, two daughters-in-law, Eva Maddox of New Bloomfield and Bonnie Maddox of Fulton, four sons-in-law, Fred Edwards, Bob Vandeloecht, B.J. Nichols and David Bura, all of Fulton, eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Margaret Larue of Fulton, two brothers, Orville "Bus" Maddox and Clarence "Hap" Maddox of Jefferson City, three sisters-in-law, Letha Maddox of New Bloomfield, Stella Maddox of Fulton and Norman Maddox of Jefferson City, one brother-in-law, Boyd Harvey of Mokane, numerous nieces and nephews, a special friend, Veta Dickson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, grandson, Eric D. Vandeloecht, sister, Odell Haymart, brothers, Burnell, Clyde, Osa "Pat" and Richard "Dick" Maddox.

He was a member of the Hams Prairie Christian Church, continued his fiddle playing after retirement with bands in and around Callaway County furnishing music to the nursing homes and Senior Center in Fulton. For many years he joined his six children in singing for revivals in local churches and other events.

Funeral services be at 10am Saturday, December 24, 1994, in the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with the Reverend Bob Vegiard officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Friday in the Debo Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Hams Prairie Christian Church in Hams Prairie.
