The remains of Major Thomas S. Allison, Pay Master at this Post, who died on the 1st of February in this city, were escorted to the evening train of the Western and Atlantic Railroad yesterday afternoon by the officers of the Post, four companies, and quite a number of friends. In the procession was Judge O.A. Lochrane, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and Hon. John Erskins, of the United States District Court. The Post Band discoursed appropriate music.
