Timothy M. Reilly aged 72 years, [cutoff] and honored citizen of Brainerd died this morning at Parkerville where he had been sojourning a short time. Dr. J. A. Thabes was summoned last night and all that was possible was done, but the infirmities of old age were too much for him to combat and he gave up his struggle at about ten o'clock this morning, when the end came calmly and gracefully.
The deceased leaves surviving him nine children: Thomas Reilly who is supposed to be in California; P. Reilly and W. C. Reilly of Missoula, Mont.; M. J. Reilly, now of Detroit [Lakes], Minn.; Mrs. Anne Loftus of Minneapolis; Miss Mayme F. Reilly; Mrs. Jay Batchelder [sic], Mrs. H. P. Dunn, and Dell Reilly.
The deceased was born in Ireland 72 years ago and came to this county in 1866. He settled in Minnesota and was engaged as a railroad contractor and his family joined him in 1870. He was married about 50 years ago, his wife having died some years ago. He was one of the old residents of the city and his death will be mourned by a large circle of friends.
