She was a resident of Winnfield and member of the Baptist faith.Last rites were conducted at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday Burial was in the Zion Hill Cemetery, near Sikes (Tannehill).
Mrs. Hatten was the daughter of the late Evi Taylor, and the granddaughter of the late Dan and Fannie Riser, pioneers of the Sikes area.
Surviving are her husband, I. H. Hatten; one son, Brian Hatten of Winnfield; two
daughters, Mrs. Bruce Smith of Winnfield and Mrs. H. E. Brown of Fairhope, Alabama;
4 grandchildren; and a brother, Walter Taylor of Alexandria.
