Joseph Edward Campfield, 58, Blue Springs, died May 19, 1991, at St. Mary's Hospital of Blue Springs.

He was born in Hannibal, Missouri, and moved to Blue Springs 35 years ago.

Mr. Campfield was a general foreman in the plastics injection department at the Kansas City Division of Allied-Signal Aerospace Company before he retired. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blue Springs. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Stanley-Pack post of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia L. Campfield of the home; a son, Joseph Russell Campfield, and a daughter, Felicia Luann Campfield, both of Kansas City; his mother, Ella Corinne Coons, Peculiar in Cass County; three brothers, Charles Richard Campfield, Missoula, Montana, David Lee Campfield, Blue Springs, and Cecil Vernon Campfield, North Carolina; three sisters, Ella Mae Allen, Peculiar, Betty Marie Nichols, St. Louis, and Loretta Ann Krause, Arcadia, Florida.; and three grandchildren.

Cremation.

Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Webb-Freer Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
