James Floyd "Son" Alderson was born September 14, 1924 in Johnson County, Arkansas to the late Ollie Francis Clark Alderson & the late Roy James Alderson.
He died February 13, 2007 in Lamar, Arkansas at the age of 82.
He is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Cummins of Clarksville; two brothers, Raymond "Buck" Alderson of Lamar, Arkansas & Lee Alderson of Clarksville, Arkansas; three sisters, Hettie Johnson of Clarksville, Arkansas, Evey Dean Hollis of Clarksville, Arkansas, & Margaret Childers of Van Buren, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Justin Nowotny & wife Courtney of Conway, Arkansas & Lori Lombardo & husband Stan of Dardanelle, Arkansas; & three great grandchildren, Austen Basham, Ian Hardcastle, & Lucas Lombardo all of Dardanelle, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lerah Lois (Holman) Alderson; his parents; two sons, James Eugene Alderson & Ronnie Lee Alderson; & one sister, Evelyn Chronister.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, February 16, 2007 at the funeral home.
Funeral will be at 10 AM Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas with Reverend Richard Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in the Holman Cemetery in Lamar, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Larry Holman, Jerry Miller, Ronnie Cowell, George McClain, Kenny Colvin, & Bobby Joe Wilkins.
