Funeral services for Ole Smestad, 90, Nome pioneer, will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church in Nome Monday, October 24 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Omodt officiating. interment will be in the St. Petri Cemetery.
He is survived by four daughters, Clara, (Mrs.) Nyberg, Laura (Mrs. A.) Barstad, Jeannie and Amelia, all of Nome; three sons, Melvin and Olaf of Nome and Albert of Fergus Falls; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His wife and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
