Daughter of James Scott & Ira M Clothier.
Carrie C. Baxter, 88, of Kings Town, died on March 31 at the Kent and Queen Anne's Hospital in Chestertown.
Mrs. Baxter was born on June 6, 1879, in Marshall, Va., the daughter of the late James and Irea Clothier. She was the widow of Charles A. Baxter who died 27 years ago.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John U. Truslow, Chestertown, and Mrs. James F. Stewart, Easton; two brothers, Archie B. Clothier, Silver Spring and David S. Clothier, Silver Spring and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the Lane Funeral Home in Church Hill on Wednesday with the Rev. Robert Hollett of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Chestertown officiating. Burial was in the Church Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ralph Townsend, Richard Groves, James Anthony, Gerald Myers, Joseph Auman and Lawrence Gwynn.
