Mary Lobdell, daughter of Joshua Lobdell III and Sarah Scott, was baptized in Lanesborough, Massachusetts, November 4, 1770. She married Peleg Allyn, removed to Cayuga, New York and afterward to the State of Indiana.

NOTE: The date of death for Mary Lobdell Allyn should be 1854 not 1874. At the Alexandrian Library in Mt. Vernon in the Allyn file there are copies of documents from the Cox Collection at the Willard Library, including receipts that say:
"Received of Abijah Allyn administrator of the estate of Mary Allyn, deceased, one hundred and eight dollars for boarding the same Mary Allyn one year and two weeks and taking care of her in her last sickness. July the 20th 1854. Francis Allyn."
and
"Rec'd Abijah Allyn Six Dollars in full for coffin for Mrs. Mary Allyn Mt. Vernon Sept. 5, 1854 C . F. Luman [sp?]"
