MT. PLEASANT - George Horace Walker, 67, of Rt. 1, died suddenly at 3:20 p.m. Monday at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Homer E. Fry. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be taken from Peninger Funeral Home to the residence at 4 p.m. today and will lie in state at the church half an hour prior to the rites.
Mr. Walker was born in Cabarrus county, January 1, 1899, son of the late George Walker and Mrs. Augusta Barnhardt Walker. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Irene Kluttz Walker; five daughters, Miss Mildred Walker and Miss Margaret Walker of the home, Mrs. Paul Yost of Mt. Pleasant, Rt.1, Mrs. Earl Lippard of Troutman, and Mrs. James Ashby of Mt. Pleasant, one son, George Walker of the home; two sisters, Miss Thelma Walker of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. J. W. Pless of Rockwell; and four grandchildren.
