Mrs. Brown was a native of Lincoln County, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Askins. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Buford Brown and Joe Brown, both of Fayetteville; two daughters, Mildred Hazlett of Moore County and Retha Vogel of Shelbyville; two brothers, Owen Askins of Fayetteville and Odie C. Askins of Hazel Green, Ala.; two sisters, Margaret Smith of Osteen, Fla., and Nell Morrow of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
