Harry Arndt, 62, of Columbia R1, died today at 2:20 a.m. at Columbia Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Audrey Taylor Arndt. He was a retired employee of Tidy Products, Columbia. A member of the Lutheran denomination, Arndt, was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served in the Asiatic-Pacific theater of operations. Born in Manheim, he was a son of the late Ephraim and Elizabeth Reigle Arndt. Besides is wife, he is survived by a son, Donald A., and two stepdaughters, Betty, wife of Perry Grove, and Dolores, wife of Charles Buchanan, all of Columbia; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He also is survived by three sisters and two brothers: Violet, wife o Harry Markley; Helen Arndt; Anna, wife of Carl Haug, and Clayton and Guy Arndt, all of Columbia.
