Jimmie Ray May age 76 of Dardanelle died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at his home.

He was born October 31, 1935 at Delaplaine, AR to the late Louie and Elsie Penn May.

He was a member of the South New Hope Assembly of God Church in Pottsville. He loved to hunt and fish, he loved babies and most of all his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lucille Haston; two brothers, Harry May and Phillmore May.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty May of Dardanelle; four children, Maria Harris and husband Ronnie of Atkins, Carol Zabel and husband Philip of Vilonia, Jeanettea Frame and Jeff of Dardanelle, Delbert May and wife Emerita of Dardanelle; one sister, Darlene Shoptaw of Dardanelle; one brother, Jerry May of Centerville; twelve grandchildren, Roland and Ashley Nordin, Katie Zabel, Shurell and Nickie Harris, Jeffrey Frame, Regina Ornsbey, Andrea, Michelle and Matthew May, Richard Caballero; one great grandson, Dalton Harris and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00P.M., Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Cornwell Chapel, in Dardanelle with Bro. Norman Chenowith and Bro. Ted Hern officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery, Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the South New Hope Assembly of God Church, 210 Howell Road, Russellville, Arkansas 72802.

Pallbearers: Phillip Nordin, Kody Farris, Mark Farris, Gregerio Sierra, Zarvelio Cabellero, Ricardo Caballero.
